the role of the Government in Managing Fire.
Answer:The foundation of this practice
is the Village Council, a system of village community governance. While the
traditional fire management tools and techniques are simple, the strategies
rely on timely community response and participation. There are four categories
of measures, i.e. regulatory, activity-oriented, preventive and punitive. The
community regulates the period of jhum burning, defines roles for each of its
