These lines were written by Marshall McLuhan in his book “The Gutenberg Galaxy - the Making of Typographic Man”. McLuhan had predicted this about internet thirty years before its inception. Mc Luhan’s other term Global Village was given its true meaning by Internet, where it connected whole world through a single screen irrespective of its geographical boundaries. Despite being youngest of all the mediums internet has left all behind in case of popularity, followers and experimentations. Internet is the only medium who takes risk and tries new formats regularly to grab viewer’s attention and it is be wrong to say that it has been successful so far.

 

After liberalization policy Indian market became an opportunity for investors and prospective businessmen and it has fulfilled the expectations of all. Last ten years saw a boom of online business in India. Everybody is in a bid of launching one thing or another forgetting, without even knowing the basics of running an online business. Companies Involved in online trading should focus on building brand awareness among their people so that trust-worthy relationship can be developed between Producers & Consumers. Companies have to be innovative and create such offers and facilities which tempt the customer and they become loyal to the company because its human tendency to get diverted towards interesting and cheaper offers and freebies. Electronic Marketing has exterminated the monopoly of goods and materials, all acts of course are for the consumer's benefit. However, in addition to this there are many advantages and disadvantages of such type of marketing. This technology has bridged the gap between the consumers and the producers which has enhanced the reach and uses of the product as well as producers can also get the consumers reaction and response instantly towards the product.
