In today’s

not enough. In order to effectively differentiate themselves from the
competition, service providers need to focus on exceeding customer expectations
to create customer delight and create a pool of loyal customers. Therefore,
when deciding on a service delivery design, it is imperative for the service
provider to consider the targeted customer base and their needs and
expectations. This will help in developing a service design that will help the
provider to effectively manage customer expectations leading to customer
delight.
Satisfaction
is practical. Delight is emotional. That is the big difference in the customer
delight vs customer satisfaction divide. One achieves what was expected, the

power and intense global competition. The rapid proliferation of the internet
the World Wide Web (www) and electronic communication has created a fast
growing channel for marketing. For that, the internet and other electronic media
are playing now a very important role in conducting marketing activities due to
its unique characteristics as a market and as a medium.

include television as its content, not as its environment , and will transform
television into an art form” Marshall McLuhan
These lines were written by Marshall
McLuhan in his book “The Gutenberg Galaxy - the Making of Typographic Man”.
McLuhan had predicted this about internet thirty years before its inception. Mc
Luhan’s other term Global Village was given its true meaning by Internet, where
it connected whole world through a single screen irrespective of its
geographical boundaries. Despite being youngest of all the mediums internet has
left all behind in case of popularity, followers and experimentations. Internet
is the only medium who takes risk and tries new formats regularly to grab
viewer’s attention and it is be wrong to say that it has been successful so
far.
After
liberalization policy Indian market became an opportunity for investors and
prospective businessmen and it has fulfilled the expectations of all. Last ten
years saw a boom of online business in India. Everybody is in a bid of
launching one thing or another forgetting, without even knowing the basics of
running an online business. Companies Involved in online trading should focus
on building brand awareness among their people so that trust-worthy
relationship can be developed between Producers & Consumers. Companies have
to be innovative and create such offers and facilities which tempt the customer
and they become loyal to the company because its human tendency to get diverted
towards interesting and cheaper offers and freebies. Electronic Marketing has
exterminated the monopoly of goods and materials, all acts of course are for
the consumer's benefit. However, in addition to this there are many advantages
and disadvantages of such type of marketing. This technology has bridged the
gap between the consumers and the producers which has enhanced the reach and
uses of the product as well as producers can also get the consumers reaction
and response instantly towards the product.
