1 Explain the various categories of Retail Warehousing.
Answer : The warehouse is the most common type of storage though other forms do exist (e.g., storage tanks, computer server farms). Some warehouses are massive structures that simultaneously support the unloading of numerous in-bound trucks and railroad cars containing suppliers’ products while at the same time loading multiple trucks for shipment to customers.
Below we discuss five types of warehouses:

The minimization of the use of resources is a common motivation in logistics for import and export.

Answer : Procurement is the process by which a company obtains raw material components, products, services or other resources of the supplier to implement the operations. Sourcing is the entire set of business processes required to purchase goods and services. For supply chain functions, the most important decision is whether outsourced or in-house. Answer : Demand forecast is the cross functional document that is aligned for the incoming period. The Sales forecasting methods should involve all stakeholders, not just sales department. Although the sales can set volume targets, they can be unrealistic in some cases. They can be higher or lower than real demand, due to tactical reasons, but they can also be reflection of wishful thinking than the real demand forecast.
Unrealistic demand forecast can create serious consequences along the organization. If the demand is estimated too high than is real demand, there is a
