ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS.
Question.1. Write the instructions one
should follow while installing the newMotherboard.
Answer:It's more convenient to install the processor, its cooling fan, and the
RAM before installing your new motherboard. RAM is easy: Lower the levers on
the RAM slots, line up the notch in the module with the slot's protrusion, then
press the chip until both levers lock.
After the standoffs are attached and the I/O
plate is in place, install the motherboard into the case and make sure you
align the back of the motherboard with the back of the case. As the motherboard
is being installed align the holes in the motherboards with the pegs or
standoffs.
Question.2. How do you to take decision on
whether to replace or repair theMotherboard? Explain
Answer:If your motherboard fails, there are no options but to replace it or
discard the computer. If your goal is simply to repair the system as
inexpensively as possible, you can probably find a suitable motherboard for $50
to $75 that will accept your current processor and memory, unless the system is
elderly.
But even if the current motherboard is
operating
Question.3. How do you rectify the BUS
errors? List out points one shouldconsider while connecting Bus to the various
components.
Answer:The system encounters a bus error when the processor tries to access a
memory location that either does not exist (a software error) or does not
respond properly (a hardware problem). A bus error can be identified from the
output of the show version command provided by the router if not power-cycled
or manually reloaded.
If you have the output of a show version or
show technical-support command (from enable mode) from your Cisco device, you
can use it to display
Question.4. What is POST? What are the
various steps performed by the POSTto check for resource availability?
Answer:When power is turned on, POST (Power-On Self-Test) is the diagnostic
testing sequence that a computer's basic input/output system (or "starting
program") runs to determine if the computer keyboard, random access
memory, disk drives, and other hardware are working correctly.
If the necessary hardware is detected and
found to be operating properly, the computer begins to boot. If the hardware is
not detected or is found not to be operating properly, the BIOS issues an error
message which may be text on the display screen and/or a series of coded beeps,
depending on the nature of the problem. Since POST runs before the
Question.5. Discuss any five guidelines
that we need to follow whiletroubleshooting the hardware problem.
Answer:Known-good parts: the
troubleshooting silver bullet:Before
we get into specific symptoms and fixes, there's one silver bullet that's
guaranteed to get you past most of the support person’s troubleshooting script
and right to what you want: the known-good part. That is, a power adapter,
stick of memory, hard drive, or other component that has been plugged into
another system and is known to be working properly.
To keep your system in good running order,
follow these guidelines:
·
Do not
enclose the system in a small, poorly ventilated area (such as a closet), crowd
other large objects around it, or drape anything (
·
Question.6. How do you solve of problem if
you don't hear anything from the sound card?
Answer:Troubleshooting Steps:
1. First of all, put some Youtube song
running in the background (you don’t necessarily have to choose this song :),
it’s just one that I like), and make sure that it’s running on high
volume.youtube volume
2. Right-click on the speaker icon in the
bottom-right part of the screen.
