Answer: All human activities produce waste. We all know that such waste may be dangerous and needs safe disposal. Industrial waste, sewage and agricultural waste pollute water, soil and air. It can also be dangerous to human beings and environment. Similarly, hospitals and other health care facilities generate lots of waste which can transmit infections, particularly HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Tetanus, to the people who handle it or come in contact with it.

Question. 2. How will you plan & organize the pathology and clinical laboratory department in a 200 bedded hospitals?

Answer: The  pharmacy  should  be  located  in  an  area  conveniently accessible from all clinics. The size should  be adequate to contain 5 percent of the total clinical  visits to the OPD in one session. For every 200 OPD  patients daily there should be one dispensing counter. Pharmacy should have component of medical store  facility for indoor patients and separate pharmacy with  accessibility for OPD patients. a. Electronic data processing and computers in hospitals

Answer: Electronic data processing (EDP) can refer to the use of automated methods to process commercial data.
