Question. 1. Explain Power, Subordination and Empowerment with regard to Gender?

Answer : Meaningful engagement with men and boys is increasingly recognized as critical to gender equality and equity, necessary not only for women’s empowerment, but also for transforming the social and gender norms that reinforce patriarchy and inequality and harm both women and men. The primary challenge embedded in this work is how to engage men and boys effectively without instrumentalizing them as a pathway to women’s empowerment on the one hand, or marginalizing women and girls in gender equity work on the other. Doing so requires a solid understanding of the conceptual underpinning of male

The 17 SDGs are integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Question.3. Explain Radical Feminism? Describe its contribution to Women’s Movement?

Answer :  Radical feminism is a philosophy emphasizing the patriarchal roots of inequality between men and women, or, more specifically, the social domination of women by men. Radical feminism views patriarchy as dividing societal rights, privileges, and power primarily along the lines of sex, and as a result, oppressing women and privileging men.

 

 

Radical feminism opposes existing political and social organization in general because it is inherently tied to patriarchy. Thus, radical feminists tend to be skeptical of political action within the current system and instead tend to focus on culture change that undermines patriarchy and associated hierarchical structures.

 

 

 

 

Question.4. Explain the Women Entrepreneurs in India? Describe the problems faced by them

Answer :  Women entrepreneur may be defined as a women or a group of women who innovates imitates for adopts an economic activity.

 

In other words, any women or a group of women who initiate organize and operate a business enterprise.

 

According to the Government of India, a woman entrepreneur is defined as, an enterprise owned and controlled by a woman and enterprise owned and controlled by a woman and having a minimum financial interest of 51% of the employment

Answer: Nelson Mandela once said "No country can really develop unless its citizens are educated. Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Education is the great engine of personal development."
